A lighthearted celebration with costumes and a reenactment of the story from the book of Esther, remembering God's faithfulness

 

 

"Pesach" and "First Fruits"

God Delivered His people from Egypt after they applied the"Blood of the Lamb" over the doorposts of their homes.  They were set free and God told them "this is to be the first month of the year for you "...Read Exodus 12

 

Jesus died on Pesach and was resurrected on First Fruits

" Shavuot"

Feast of Pentecost ....50 days, 7 weeks + 1 day after Firstfruits...

Giving of the Torah to Moses....Holy Spirit fell on the early church

"Rosh Hashanah"
Feast of Trumpets........ Blowing of the shofar...The head of the year

 

"Yom Kippur"
Day of Atonement.....


A day to approach God in the fear and awe He deserves, to repent of our sins and to thank Him for His Son's sacrifice that brings us into "at-one-ment" with Him

 

 

" Sukkot"

Feast of Tabernacles ....

A week of Joy!...The Israelites were required to  live in 'booths' during this week, and many still do... In Zechariah (14: 16-19) it says that in the millennium all nations will come up to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles!

 

 

" Channukah"

Feast of Lights ... Lighting of the channukiah (Channukah menorah)
